Rich Schultze, Executive Director
Greene County Urban Transit System
"Greene CATS"
Ph:  937-562-6522
Fax: 937-562-6511

The Greene County Board of MRDD does not operate its own transportation service. Instead it contracts with the Greene County Urban Transit Board for transportation services for individuals enrolled in MRDD programs using the county's public transportation.  The Greene County Urban Transit Board (Greene CATS) is a separate county agency and is not affiliated with MRDD.

Each year the MRDD board is responsible for almost 90,000 one-way passenger trips for its consumers. The MRDD board provides transportation for adults to and from Greene Inc., The Today Center for Adults, and enclaves and individual work sites. In addition, the board transports adults and children on recreation and field trips, and reimburses some family members for other transportation needs.

The MRDD board continuously reviews its transportation needs and makes necessary adjustments to improve travel times and convenience. Safety of the consumer is its number one goal.

MRDD funded trips should be scheduled through your Education and Training Specialist, Service and Support Administrator or other MRDD staff. If you have any questions about your transportation, please call the Urban Transit System staff at 562-6523.
